Privacy Policy: GaitCoach respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how your information is used when you use the GaitCoach app.
Information We Use: GaitCoach uses walking-related data from Apple Health, including metrics such as step length, walking speed, walking asymmetry, and double support time.
This data is used only on your device to:
Generate a personal gait score based on age- and sex-matched population norms Detect changes in your walking patterns over time Recommend targeted exercises based on your walking data Display trends and educational insights
Data Storage: GaitCoach does not store your Apple Health data on external servers. All walking data is processed locally on your device. GaitCoach does not upload, sell, or share your Health data with third parties.
Personal Information: GaitCoach asks for limited personal information during setup:
Date of birth (stored locally on your device, used to match your metrics to age-appropriate population norms) Biological sex (stored locally on your device, used for population comparisons) Phone carry method (stored locally on your device, used to determine data reliability)
This information never leaves your device and is used solely to improve the accuracy of your gait comparisons.
Notifications: GaitCoach may send local notifications to inform you of walking score updates, exercise reminders, and weekly summaries. These notifications are generated on-device and do not involve any external servers.
Third-Party Services: GaitCoach uses Apple HealthKit to access walking data. GaitCoach does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
